Are you looking for a patient and friendly driving instructor?

Look no further than JDS Driving School. I am a DSA approved driving instructor and have been teaching across the area of Darlington for over 13 years. Whether you’re a first time driver, are looking for refresher lessons or require additional training, I offer driver training that is tailored to your specific needs. For your peace of mind, I am a member of both the Darlington Driving Instructors Federation and the Driving Instructors Association.

The Car

The training car currently used, is an VW Golf R Line 2.0 TDi

All controls are light and easy to use, and with good all round visibility, making the car a top training car as used by a large national company.

For your comfort, the car has power steering, air conditioning and is fitted with He-Man dual controls.

David is a great instructor, he’s patient and calm with you when you don’t understand or make a mistake and is more than happy to explain things again and again if you don’t understand. He uses lots of different analogies as ways to help you understand driving. I’d seriously recommend David as a driving instructor to people and friends, not only is he good at what he does, he is also a good laugh!

The only thing that I can advise is use Dave Barrs. He is not my first instructor (I have had many). Fortunately, for me and the best part is he will never be my driving instructor ever again (get my drift) I passed! Once again Dave will take you above and beyond what you need to pass your test. I recommend him.
